Hi Bettyann,

I am taking 2000 mg Urso Forte per day and my weight is at the moment 114 lb. I'll take 1000 mg in the morning and 1000 mg at night. So far except from time to time I have diarrhea and also some itching occuring with this high dosis, but otherwise I am doing so far ok. Do you have any other side effects? I have to take as well 20 mg Creon 3 x a day for my chronic pancreatitis, which I don't have any problems at all with it.

I just saw a PSC specialist in Chapel Hill and he

switched me from 750mg of URSO a day to 1800 of the

generic URSODIOL a day. I weigh 110 pounds. Supposedly

that increase is a recent finding by the Mayo folks.

No side effects that I can tell of and the generic is

half the price of the URSO..... Triplets!!! Wow I bow

to you in all ways, Best wishes, Liz

I have experienced no side effects from Ursodiol (or Actigall, Urso-250). I

weigh ~180 lbs and take 2100 mg/day. I also take 2 gm/day of sulfasalazine

(predecessor to Asacol).

....I have been taking Urso for about a week and a half now and I am in a

constant state of feeling like I just took some cold medicine. Is this to

be expected? I see tiredness can be a side effect, but I've never had a

drug make me feel like this before. I am currently taking Asacol, Imuran,

Levsinex, and Zyrtec along with the Urso.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Darren
