Guest guest
Hi everyone Is the ZincO cream just used as an effective environmental shield, or sunscreen or does it have some treatment applications as well? ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
Hi -- I often use the Zinc-O at night as a topical treatment. I had been using a generic OTC zinc ointment at night as a therapeutic measure until the ZO became available--it really helped control the inflammatory papules (those pesky bumps) and the Zinc-O has continued to do the same. The ZO has the advantage of being less occlusive, however, and doesn't make my skin oily. I also use it most days for sun and environmental protection. I'm not noticing the color as much as I was before, though I still think it's a little too peachy for my skin tone. I believe Dr. Sy is working on an untinted formulation. But I won't look a gift-horse in the mouth--this stuff has been a life-saver! I've also tried Dr. Sy's loose powder over the ZO to balance out the color difference--that works well, and the powder has an added SPF. I'm just a little lazy in the bathroom in the mornings, so I don't always use it. Plus, it makes me feel like I'm wearing make-up, and I've always been an all-natural kinda girl. I tried wearing the powder alone, but it makes my skin itch a little. It's fine with the ZO in-between. The ZO is quite expensive, though, so if you have another (cheaper) option for nighttime wear and treatment, you might want to go with that to make your ZO stock last longer. It's worth the investment, definitely.
