Guest guest
Louisa, I am so sorry to hear that she has traumatized poor Liesel soo much. Please make sure you document everything she tells you. If any of the other children in her class are verbal, you might want to contact the parents and see if they can get any information from their child. Poor baby. Guest guest
Poor Leisel. I hope this teacher gets what she deserves. Are you considering homeschooling? Or switching to a new school? Tuna >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Since that teacher hit my girl she has changed almost beyond recognition. She has become clingy and insisted that I put her bag and uniform away. She has even started sucking her thumb; she didn't even have a pacifier for long as a baby. She is petrified of strangers too before she was the other way TOO confident which was worrying also. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Get more from the Web. Guest guest
Rotten teacher. I agree with you that right now Liesel needs to be with you. If that is where she is comfortable right now than that is what she needs. Gail, my now 13yo, was quite traumatized after another girl at school attacked her. She wasn't seriously injured but she was greatly affected. We did elected to enroll her in therapy with a child therapist she responded well to. Gail also had a tremendous increase in her panic attacks and her overall anxiety became rather unmanageable. It's difficult to say whether the incident preciptated the worsening of symptoms, or if it was hormones, or both, but worsen they did. Last year it became evident fairly early in the school year that she could not physically attend school without falling to pieces. She was assigned a home teacher and Gail continued to work with her therapist. She is doing much better now with managing herself and her social interactions. Of course there is always more to it, but the point is that with time and support Gail was able to work through this. I hope that Liesel is able to do the same. And I hope that teacher is FIRED! Guest guest
> Well right now she is staying home with us where she feels safe.... > Louisa, This is just awful! I would like to say I can't believe it, but unfortunately I can. I've had a few horrid teachers myself. Do you have developmental ped that you can talk to? A psychologist? Someone who can give you some advice on how to help Liesel overcome some of her fears? (((((hugs))))) Tina

Guest guest
I think this must have happened while I was out of town Louisa, but from what I can tell, this must have been a horrendous experience. I am truly sorry you and Liesel are going through this and I pray for this to work out OK. I'm just so very sorry to hear that it has affected Liesel so much! ~ Karin

Visit www.ubah.com/F1549 Start your own Usborne Home Business in December for only $59.95! Ask me how! Totally traumatised... Since that teacher hit my girl she has changed almost beyond recognition. She has become clingy and insisted that I put her bag and uniform away. She has even started sucking her thumb; she didn't even have a pacifier for long as a baby. She is petrified of strangers too before she was the other way TOO confident which was worrying also. I took her to her old playgroup so that she could mix and get involved with the Christmas activities. The lady who runs this group was her childminder twice a week for a year and person who she adored. When I left and went back I was told that she cried and shook NEVER EVER has Liesel bothered when I have left her, that was always another worrying feature she never even used to look back to refer to me she was off. This teacher has worked a good one on her; she has terrified so much that she doesn't even trust the people she used to love. Her old childminder could not believe the change in her. She has been saying all day she isn't going again...I am so sad for her I feel sick to my stomach. We will get justice for our little girl one way or another. Other things have been coming out about this teacher's behaviour and clearly she is out of control. Apart from the more serious allegations of hitting, throwing things and generally being angry all the time. She tells me this woman has said things like " Meat makes you stupid " is that her way of making the children in her care become vegetarian or something? Although I have seen this teacher eating bacon so I just don't know... Well right now she is staying home with us where she feels safe.... Guest guest
Poor little sweetie. I hope that so-called teacher gets into a world of trouble over this crap. She reminds me of Boone's teacher, even down to trying to force HER dietary choices on kids. What a witch. Sissi
