: Quoting from the back of the box of Camel Wides, as I proceed

" Turkish tobacco is the world's smoothest, most aromatic leaf.

Blending it with more robust domestic tobaccos is the secret to

Camel's distinctive flavor and world-class smoothness. "

Don't you want to feel suave and sophisticated again? If you save up

Hi ,

I'm so glad everything went well for your HSG. I'm expecting to have

mine in about 3 weeks--depending on when af arrives. What is a mock

transfer? Is that like a test cycle?

I'm sure it is this new WOE. I have tried many different diets and the heartburn has always been a problem without meds. I did have a gain this week but I am a bit bloated today and I ate a bit too much salt yesterday and Monday (monday being the worse) Hopefully will have it back off next week. Take care and God bless ellen

Oh, would I love to get off the GERD meds. I hope I can write a post

protonix for the last 3 years then a couple of months ago Dr switched

me to Prilosec and as of today I haven't had any in about 8 days and

no heartburn. Can't remember last time I went that long without takine

my meds and being heartburn free. Which is great now to be able to get

off the HP meds. Take care and God bless Ellen

I hope you can. I found out by accident when I realized I had forgotten to take them for a couple of days didn't have any heartburn so decided to wait until the heartburn came back before taking them again. I hope I can stay off them they are the most expensive of my meds since they are over the counter. Take care and God bless Ellen

Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones - and enables you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats.

I used to have some pretty nasty heartburn from time to time as well. It

was almost certainly due to the amount of starch in my diet. None now

though. I can't remember the last time I had heartburn and I hope it stays

away.

Congratulations, Ellen!! This is wonderful news! :) I am so very happy for you. I look forward to getting off some meds myself in the future too.

Congrats again.

I used to take medication for reflux and found that I was able to move away

from it. My weight loss (which happened a few years later) pretty much ended

the problem altogether. Back when I was heavy, the problem would wake me

from a sound sleep as " it " would come up to my throat, mouth and nose. No,

not pleasant.

ann,

I drink a product called " Secrets of the Psyllium " from Trader Darwin's

(I buy it at Trader Joe's butI think Metamucil contains psyllium). It

helps me stay regular and has helped me with the constipation problem.

I take 2 tbsps (1 serving). It's got 5 calories, 10g of carbohydrates

which all come from fiber, 20 mg of calcium, 1 mg of iron, 10 mg of

sodium and 105 mg of Potassium. It also has 12 g of Blonde Psyllium

Seed Husks.

I found a link that will tell you more about what Psyllium does:

http://www.healthcastle.com/psyllium.shtml

Give it a try, it might help relieve your problem as well.
