hey

Can you only not grow hair in the areas where the photoderm was used or is

it your whole face (even where photoderm wasn't applied too?)

Hi guys--

From what I understand, if you have photoderm done in

the beard area, it could either thin the hair or

temporarily retard hair growth. Most docs treat that

area carefully, if at all--I think one of Dr. Nase's

old posts mentions this concern. Photoderm is actually

marketed to women for hair removal (say, of the

mustache area) under the moniker Epilight, which I

think is a slightly different system (i.e., different

software) but the same general principles. It's not

permanent, though, and you should see hair regrowth in

a few months. " esp " (sorry, I don't know your name),

you should voice your observations on the lack of hair

growth to your doc and ask how long before you can

expect it to return to normal. Then, if you feel your

rosacea is under control in the beard area, request

that he not treat that area again. For now, enjoy

saving a few razor blades!
