Guest guest
Hello group! I would like to ask a question and get feedback from the group in regards to the below matter: Lately I feel very worry about my husband condition. The Hepatologist and the Gastro doctors on this past year have been doing MRI/MRCP every 4 months due to the fact that my husband liver appearance is not as good as it used to be 2 years ago (when he was diagonsed with PSC via ERCP). On the last MRI/MRCP, it showed that his liver has developed the beginning of cirrhosis. His blood tests are not bad at all compared to what the MRI/MRCP its showing. The last CA9-19 was 49 (09/16/2005). The doctors recommended the AFP test for the 1 time, and I got very worry. Now is not only the CA9-19 (every 6 months), but also the AFT test. The doctors told us that they are just doing the new test to be on the safe side and monitor my husband cirrhosis. I asked if he qualify for a transplant, and they said not because his blood test does neither his symptoms qualify him to be on the transplant list. However, the MRI/MRCP is telling us something different. What is wrong with this picture? Does anyone in the group have this test done? and what was the upcome? At what point you qualify to be on the transplant waiting list? Thanks, Vivian (husband has UC-2000, PSC-2004,BP-04-2005) --- End forwarded message ---
