Give him vitamin K, or green tea extract, or green tea. See if it

helps. If that doesn't help ask about tests again, or just ask the

doctor.

My daughter was diagnosed with von willebrands--a much lesser form of

hemophilia--it can be inherited or acquired (immune dysfunction). The test

usually is done through a specialist, not a big deal--just need to give 3 tubes

of blood and they run coagulation test, iron (anemia) etc. No other family

member has this and some of my research showed the immune connection. There is

not " treatment " for it according to mainstram doc but is important to know in

case of bleeding emergency so that coagulants can be given. I personally would

do what Andy suggests AND have tests done to rule out a bleeding disorder.

A pro(prothrombin) time and platelt count might be in order. Some kids

develop a vitamin K deficeincy because of their GI/malabsorption problems.

Dark green veggies are a good source of k. My son's doc prescribed it for

him.
