I think I would have preferred the waffles. LOL! I just keep telling

myself... " Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. " :-)

I've had 1 protein shake. Half my vitamins and am working on my first

bottle of water.

I so want to get on the train, I really do . I have a

walking partner that I walk with once a week, and when

we walk..,,,WE WALK....6 miles is max...we usually do

it in about and hour and half...I usually am

absolutely wiped out after, but feel good for going.

However, and isn't there always a " however " , Friday

night I broke two toes on my right foot, you know the

little piggy who got no roast beef and the one who

cried " wee wee wee " all the way home.

I am so bummed. I wanted to scream F bombs at the top

of my lungs but decided it would probably give my

geriatric dog the final shove into the great beyond,

so I just sat and bawled. We moved my oldest daughter

out on Saturday, and my mother in law once again,

commented in a disparaging way about my " supposed

weight loss " . (She is the one who isn't sure exactly

how I am losing weight and is most curious.) It was a

stellar weekend you know? So, I am asking you my dear

Loser friends to offer up what you all suggest I

should do....At this point even swimming is painful,

but I feel this maybe my only excercise option.

Suggestions????????

Oh gawd.,,I think I need cheese to go with this

whine!!!

Oops, I almost forgot - my weight loss goal for

September is 20 lbs. I was just 2.5 lbs short of 20

lbs. for August.

Broken toes are the worst as there is nothing that can be done- try to

heal and know it will get better. MIL- just smile and " kill her with

kindness " if you can. Whine away, seems like many of us are the past

few days, I know I am doing my fair share!

I just got an exercise DVD from bariatriceating.com, it's

called " Weigh2Win " It is specifically designed for bariatric

surgery patients. It has 3 different levels of workout: 2weeks

postop to 6 months out... 6 months to 1 year... and then one year

post op for maintenance. The first level is " Entire workout

performed in a chair, employing an exercise band (included with

purchase!). Haven't actually DONE it yet, but it looks like a great

thing!

thanks rachel, you are right....toes are feeling

better today, looking a lovely shade of pink, purple,

yellow and lavender. I went swimming last night, and

it relieved alot of grouchy stress, so today, back in

the pool!!!!

taking my own advice, my chin is up, my shoulders

back, my head held high (toes pointed every which

way...hehehehehe),

OUCH!!! I have stubbed my toes and that hurts like hell. I can't imagine

having them broken...ouch! I am sorry to hear about all that you are going

through right now and I wish I had some great wisdom to impart, but I don't. I

know what I would do if I had two broken toes, sit back, relax, and let others

wait on me. But that's just me! Perhaps you could do some arm weights while

sitting in front of the TV and work on preventing getting bat wings or sit ups

or other exercises that don't require you to be on your feet for awhile. I hope

you feel better soon.

Hey Kim,

it is an ouchie, I think I am noticing that is healing

faster than last time, which I am attributing to all

the vitamins, and protein associated with the diet. I

also went out and bought crocs for my feet. They are

a lovely shade of pink, even if it looks like I am

wearing rubber boxes on my feet!!! Initially they

want you to stay off of your feet, and since two side

by side toes are broken no taping them together.,,,but

that's okay, whine over, I am back in the pool

swimming like NEMO!

= : )
