Guest guest
Mike I know how you feel. It can be frustrating, but I think what you are experiencing is a plateau, and I just came through one and have now started losing again, I am now down 41 lbs at 7 weeks post op. I had a realatively short plateau, but I remember during my dieting days I would hit some that would last a month, but just keep doing what you are doing, and the weight WILL come off. If you can only eat 2,3 or 4 ozs your body will have to eventually lose the weight, as long as you are eating. If you stop eating thinking you will lose, then your body goes into a starvation mode and you will plateau for what seems like forever. Don't give up, things will start moving again soon, just hang on. Guest guest
-Mike; I would try eating something different at different times.....try to fool your body into thinking the lean times are over and it will start shedding...also try exercising differently....Hope this works for you! Don't give up!!!! Please..Please hang in there....It will be worth it! ****Debbye**** -- In GastricBypass-LOSERS , " Mike Tune " wrote: > > I cant figure this out......If I took in 1,000 calories in a day I would be > SHOCKED! Guest guest
I guess your right, but if I did do that I would have spent all week thinking I was doing good, and then got on the scale today and would have gained a pound this week! But I will take a shot at that......... Mike T Re: Re: I need a frist class ticket for >> this >> ride... >> >> >> Thanks Mike and >> >> I thought I was the only one stuck at the same weight. Guest guest
AAAAHHHHH Mike - Don't get discouraged! You are probably gaining muscle mass which weighs more than fat. Maybe you should take a break from the protein train, though. You have been so faithful to it, maybe you need some time away to regain your desire to push forward. I don't know if that is good advice, but it is something I would do. Keep your chin up! in Virginia 299/226/150 height: 5'8 " Lap RNY: 5/3/06 Re: Re: I need a frist class ticket for this ride... I cant figure this out......If I took in 1,000 calories in a day I would be SHOCKED! So why the hell do I stay the same weight and even gain weight on some days! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I had not had surgery and was eating like this I feel that I would be losing weight, so why do I stay at the same weight now?!?!?!?! The dam train isnt even working right now! I gained a pound since yesturday and took in only protein and did a water work out! Its just about enough to make me say screw it...... Guest guest
, Today I did not ride the exercise train.......I just sat on my rump and got some things done around the house. I will get back on tomorrow, and I think I need to add some food to my routine, I have not been eating much and might be sending my body into starvation mode........Who knows, all I can do is all I can do right? Keep keepin on.......... Mike T Re: Re: I need a frist class ticket for > this ride... > > > I cant figure this out......If I took in 1,000 calories in a day I would > be > SHOCKED! Guest guest
Mike, You're probably right - you need some food for the body to burn. Glad to hear you took a break...we all need one once in awhile. Don't be so hard on yourself. You have been doing great! The weight will begin dropping again soon. Take care. Guest guest
Oh Mike, I feel your pain. I felt the exact same way this weekend. Funny but I too thought the exact same things too. I log every freakin' thing that goes in my mouth and have yet to go over 1000 cals. how in the hell can I not be wasting away??!!! I did finally budge from 228 to 225, but there are times I am just feeling disappointed and frustrated. I know in my head that this isn't magic, but it is hard when it jut feels like maybe I ve made a mistake. As usual emotions vs. the brain...makong life difficult. I promise you will move down sooner than later.
Guest guest
That would certainly be a challenge I would take with you.
