Guest guest
Wow Danette, you, my sister and Momma are myself are all just alike. My sister loved the beach so much that 2 weeks before Jesus took her home she made the trip there for the peace and joy it brings her. So absolutely understand the draw of it. I was raised 40 to 45 miles from South Padre Island and can smell the salt water, and see the fishing boats going out and smell the jetty that we walked on and people would be fishing. Love the sound of the waves and love jumping them but once did it so long the bottoms of my feet turned black and blue. Oh my, went on a bit there. Of course that is normal just this time did not mean to as have to get off and call Janie. Take care and sure as heck hope you get this W/C settled soon. Is there any hope of that happening? Many hugs s Momma JoAnn JoAnn JoAnn - yes I love FLA! We will go eventually but not until my work comp is done and settled (going on five yrs now) Although, I don't want to loose my doctor up here so i'd probably come and visit with my parents every few months just so i could still see him. (my boyfriend) his brother lives in Ft. Lauderdale & his Mom and Dad in Delray Beach. We visited Dania Beach when we were down there last and i fell in love with the place! I love the beach, water, anything that has to do with the beach. Even here in Jersey I love the beach! I would never miss snow again thats for sure it makes the pain levels go up and not to mention the fact that i'm afraid to walk outside let alone drive anywhere. Actually Lori isn't far at all from where s brother lives, small world isn't it? Do you have family/friends there already? Would you be there part-time like for winter only? I think the area you live in is so nice but then Florida is beautiful also. Would you miss the snow or does the cold hurt to much? Well just wondering and thinking that would be great for you and Lori to be able to know each other face to face. Take care my friendJoAnn

Guest guest
Carla, I do not think I have ever spoken to you, and want to welcome you to the group and congradulations on your relationship! I know it will work out for you and think it is great that he supports you with your RSD. That is wonderful and I wish that I could find someone like that. I do have a question for you though. You said that you have gotten you Social Security Benefits. Did you recieve them the first time you applied? How long did it take? I have two appeals going right now and not only have RSD in right knee, but also have MS and lost sight permanently in my left eye. I do not understand how some people get it so easy and others really have to fight for it. I even have two very good attornies!!!! My one even called on a Sunday and that is unheard of. I am very curious what you did if you would like to share with me. Also to answer your question about medicare and medicade, I do not believe that you can collect both, but I think that is worth checking out and I am going to look into that today and if I get an answer I will let you know! Maybe someone else in the group already knows and will wait and see! Well I wish you all the best and once again I am glad to have met you. I hope you now continue to post. Take Care and Have a Great Day! LOL Dawn Survivor NOV2000 wrote: Hi JoAnn,It was good hearing from you through the group. I remember when Ijoined the group that I sent a few messages and then kinda stalled outdue to things happening in my personal life. Don't get me wrong andthink that it was bad stuff happening cause it was really amazingthings LOL.The month of August I had company. I've actually met a man that istotally amazing. I've done everything I can to warn him and try toget him to see reason that signing on to a relationship with me isgonna be full of some rough times ahead. He seems to be alot morestubborn than I am and we spent an absolutely amazing few weekstogether. He is from MA but by the first of the year he will bemoving to TX and probably within the year we will be married. Now, to health issues. I am under the care of an absolutely amazingpain management doctor that has been so good to me. His philosophy isthat he doesn't want me to hurt and he will do whatever and prescribewhatever it takes to make my quality of life as good as possible. Sofar, he's done wonderful controlling my pain. My RSD is in my lowerright leg and so far it's only spread up the leg to about the knee andI've had RSD for almost 4 years. So, I feel fortunate that it isundercontrol and so is my pain right now.Not saying I don't have the bad days because I certainly do. We areconsidering a SCS this fall if my pain level is as intense this winteras it was last. He's been talking to me about the SCS for almost 2years but I have such reservations about it and from some of thestories I've read you guys writing I will still hold out as long aspossible.I am on SSD and will be able to go on Medicare in November. I amcurious and you might be able to answer my question or someone elsethat might be more knowledgeable than I... Is it possible to be onMedicare and Medicaid at the same time? If so, what are thequalifications? It was really good reading your email that was written especially tome.. Made me feel kinda special! LOL I hope you are having awonderful evening and get some much needed rest.Carla,Texarkana,TX
