It's not really hate but pity I feel for you and them. It amazes me that

intelligent people can come up with rationalization after rationalization to

repudiate what's as plain as the nose on their faces.

Which one?

Hi Pat,

I have found that in life, it is very common that the majority

(the popular opinion) is wrong. You seem to at least be in the same

solar system as I. I am glad I am not unique. (that was yet another

of the lies of AA I never bought - I am pretty damn unique). These

are two quotes that really stuck out to me when I first went to AA.

Perhaps those " steppers " saw a person who would not last long without

hearing those. Perhaps there were many people that (at least some

of) the people on this list would call steppers that would not have

hung around long without hearing these words frequently. The people

on this list I have heard from so far seem to think they are so

superior, so advanced in comparison to steppers. They can pity

steppers. They know more than steppers. I don't think they realize

that a lot of the people they label as steppers are more like them

than steppers - meaning they question AA, they disagree with AA on

several counts... they do not like others in AA and aspects of AA.

Like you (I think...) and I they at least see some of the good of AA,

too. They even find it helpful to continue going, without

being " converted. " To each his own. I hope I get done arguing soon,

and hope its worth the effort.
