Guest guest
See if you can get the injection Rochephin instead. It's just one shot and easier than getting a kids to take medicines. It also doesn't go through the digestive system. R, 's mom > Hi Everybody, > My son got pneumonia over the weekend, and the doctor prescribed the > anti-biotic cefizil for him to take. Guest guest
It's only one shot and that's it? The oral medication is supposed to be taken for 10 days. > > Hi Everybody, > > My son got pneumonia over the weekend, and the doctor prescribed > the > > anti-biotic cefizil for him to take. Guest guest
Yup, one shot usually does it unless it is really severe. Parents of ASD children I know suggest demanding this instead of oral antibiotics. While the shot will kill bacteria in the gut too at least it isn't right into the gut first (10 days in a row) thus it decreases the amount of damage to the gut bacteria. As with Jody, this is how they treated pneumonia when I was young.
