My home remedies for a cold are still a sauna, or steam bath or a bowl of hot water under your face and a towel over your head. PSC eliminates the use of alcohol in a hot toddy but the lemon, honey and hot water still taste good and soothe the throat. My docs say acetominiphin (tylenol) is ok, but no aspirin or ibuprophen (advil). All the standard recommendations still apply. Lots of rest, lots of fluid, and a bit of TLC goes a long way. As my old Grandpa Dr. said, "A cold will last two weeks if you treat if with everything available and will last a fortnight if you don't take anything."
