I am gradually gathering information and have found that dieticians in our area are just about useless....so....I'm doing it on my own. My mother will be 80 in March, and I'm finding out that a lot of older people are diagnosed with this. She had a severe problem with ascites (fluid in the abdomen) after a ventral hernia repair, but since this past Friday when we started the gluten-free diet, she has not had this problem. I have also found out that it's not uncommon for celiac to rear its head after a trauma to the body such as surgery. I have many questions, but today's question for the group is....Can anyone tell me if any of the Schwann's lines of food are GF? I have checked their website and emailed them, but so far no answer. I have some of their food that I would like to feed my mom if possible (specifically the twice-baked potatoes). Thank you for any information you can share.
