Barbara,

I was told that if I said no to having my son come

home the hospital would have to keep him or find something else for him.

Maybe the fact that he was 18 made a difference. I didn't have to do that as

everyone else did it so I didn't have a choice! Tell them he can't come home

till services are in place because you fear for your safety and the safety of

your family. I know that is easier said than done but you have nothing to

lose by trying atleast. Barbara, my SPED person wanted me to say that I

feared for my life for some when I really didn't. It seems that phrase is

well known among the school and transportatin personnel as I heard it used a

lot. 's exact age escapes me right now but remember when you have the

IEP to demand Transition Planning if he is 14 or more! Mention your own

health problems as being a reason for needing his supports in place BEFORE he

comes home. I wish you luck!

Anne

He has got chicken pox this week. Any possible relation?

Can we still give him ES baths?

Thanks,
