Guest guest Posted September 7, 2004 Report Share Posted September 7, 2004 JoAnn, I can say this much about Flexaril, but it is only my opinion and experience, I have taken it many times in the past without any reactions and with good results. Now of course I don't have many reactions to meds as many do, but this is a very common med and I believe that it is because of the lack of side effects. My hubby also takes it during his busy season when his back acts up and his only side effect is drowsiness. This is not a bad thing for him as he only takes it at bedtime, but I suppose if someone were to be taking it during the day, drowsiness could be an issue. Now of course...what happens with one person doesn't mean it happens with all persons....so unfortunately it isn't much help. Take Care, Teri -- About Flexeril and meds for stinging and numbness up leg Really do not like talking about this ya'll and bothering anyone but have been through now, 4 muscle spasm pills to try and make me better but did not work. Now on Flexeril and at least no reaction to it but wonder if anyone takes this and if so what are the reaction can get. Is it another of those that put 20lbs on you or what should I expect or at least understand why something happening in case it does? Hope just can take it with no troubles and it actually helps!!!!! Also this feeling of stinging and prickly feeling get what would help that? And the end of my toes, mostly 3 of them feel like so cold have frostbite, what helps that and one last thing, having that numbness going up from foot nearly to knee....concerned the pain doctor will think from back but the EMG shows no damage at all with nerve in back that has stenosis. How can I convince doctor not from back but the rsd? Gee really sorry to keep asking so much, really hate to bother ya'll but also have numbing in face....checks now...once had numbing around mouth so bad was causing mouth to well, hate to say this, but sort of drool on one side. Not like that anymore but concerned about this face numbness...any ideas ya'll? Thanks for any help about meds as need something to help and like to know how Flexeril works or helps. Hope all are having a better day. And also hope you all had at least some of this past week-end with less pain and to enjoy family. Guest guest Posted September 7, 2004 Report Share Posted September 7, 2004 Barbara, I have noticed that the Flexeril has all my muscles feeling as if just ran 20 miles and my body being very sore, and muscles all tight and if bend at knees is a feeling of shaky and thighs are shaking and muscles just as said as if worked out way, way way to much. Did you have this when first started on the Flexeril? Has anyone had this feeling with the Flexeril? As far as can tell this would be only symptom of not being able to tolerate this med. Any ideas Barbara? Oh, just think about your trip in what, about 12 days, to New Orleans and perhaps that will help you feel less stressed. And still want that picture, come on be a sport Barbara!!!!
