Yes, I do know that. Have even consulted with Dr. Natale, the best in the

country for the a-fib surgery (at Cleveland Clinic). My insurance won't approve

it ... it's a long story, but it isn't an option for me at this time for many

reasons, most financial. I've accepted it. I think.

Welcome to the group. Glad to have you with us and we look forward to

sharing our WLS journey and yours with you.

The thinning hair does not happen to everyone. It did with me, but now it

is growing back, I am 7 months out. It started when I was 3 1/2 months out.

There is no stopping it from what I understand. You cannot take in as much

protein as well would like in the first month to 1 1/2 months... so you are

lacking that in the beginning. I take Biotin found in the vitamin isle. It is

for hair, skin, and nails... I personally feel it helps, but it doesn't for

everyone. It's going to happen though, so please expect it so you don't have as

hard of a time with it when it happens.

I don't know about you qualifying with your heart issue. I do pray it will

not be a problem for you.

You are right, many of us feel like a failure because we feel we allowed

ourselves to get here or our surroundings made us believe it, either way, your

right. This is going to be a time when you have to start working on your self

esteem. Something I wish I could of loved myself at any size. Even after 97 lbs

gone, I still am faced with having to accept myself and love me for me and up my

self esteem. So there is no cure for the mental state except for us to face it

head on. It's painful but I am working through it and feeling a weight lifting.

You can too at any size.

At this stage I am still very undecided and mostly scared out of my mind. A

I'm not even sure I'll be approved for surgery as I have chronic atrial

fibrillation, which is an electrical (not structural) problem in the heart where

it

quivers in the atria (top) making the ventricles (bottom) beat erratically.

It's not life-threatening, but does contribute to major fatigue and it just

basically a pain in the rear to live with. I'm not sure what the next step is

....

when I will hear from the place I sent the paperwork to. I believe my

insurance covers it and my doctor will approve it ... just not sure about all

the

stages of approvals. I feel like a total failure, which I suppose many of you

did as well. Anyway, I'm here to listen to you all and see what I can learn to

help me make my decision on whether to proceed or not. Thanks for listening.

Hello Everyone,

My name is Lussia and I have Interstitial Cystitis, Fibromaylia, and

IBS. I was dignasosed 4 years ago. I am in consent pain. If it is not

IBS, IC then it is Fibro. I wak up in pain, stiffness, soreness all

through my body.

I need to talk to people like me. I need to know what is working for

them. I do not have medical insurance; so, it is hard to get

treatment. I am open for ideas and how to get help.
