We REALLY need to clear out some space in our storage room! Or at least put some order into the chaos there...And this weekend it will happen. That and much more around here. We have ordered a heap of things from Ikea, all having to do with storage (5 "DVD-towers", really sort of bookcases but for CD/DVD's, two maximum size drawer chests, and one bookcase). As said when we were placing the order: Maybe we should just tell them to bring all the storage furniture they've got... Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow. This weekend, on Saturday (and, let's be realistic, on Sunday too...), we'll be busy emptying our storage room, and take down the shelves with hangers under them attached to the wall of the back of the room (at least we have a vague memory of that being in

there, behind and underneath it all...). That way we'll make room for our three bedroom wardrobes in there – meaning they will have to be emptied too (they are to be replaced by the new drawer chests, and we think we will manage to make room for the hanging clothes in the storage room). And then we'll throw away what needs to be thrown away, and put everything else back in the storage room and in the bedroom. (That last sentence makes that part sound a lot easier than it is, as anyone who has ever done anything like that will know). And then, just in case we'll need more things to do, the DVD collection in the living room (around 1200 movies, I think, at least I have catalogued around 1200 of them) will be rearranged into the new DVD-towers (well, all of it won't go there, but we'll probably have to move every one anyway, to keep it in order), thus freeing a bookcase, that will go into the bedroom. And be filled with books now laying around in

my study...Basically it's a castling (chess term) involving most of our rooms...We reckon we'll need a few gallons of coffee, even more water, a ton of candy, and a few ice cold beers, to get through it... But we are really looking forward to get it done. And in preparation for that I have dragged out a printer/scanner (I hesitate to call it fully working, because we were never happy with the way the printer part worked, but it is, at least, working just as it was when new, and the scanner unit is working excellent), and a combined espresso machine/coffee maker (see photo), with absolutely nothing wrong with it, we have just replaced it, that's all, from the storage room. I hate selling things, because I always feel like I am cheating the poor fellow buying the stuff somehow, and I was raised by a grandmother and a mother who wholeheartedly believed that if you have something that you don't need, and someone else need it, you

should give it for free (probably adding to my feeling immoral if I sell something...). So I have made a flyer with photos and descriptions of the two items, saying anyone who wants it can have it for the taking. I am not selling it, I am giving it away. However, I am not going to do delivery either (haven't got the time), so the person wanting it will have to come and get it (or have someone get it for them). Leading me to feel a bit of that "cheating-guilt". Maybe this crap just isn't worth that effort, simply. I am trying to tell myself that while it's useless space-stealing stuff for us, it may be just what someone else needs. And it's not like they'll have to pay for it either, they'll just have to come and get it. But still...So, I am attaching the photo of the espresso/coffee machine and asking you guys: Would you (provided you needed a coffee machine of some kind) take this one for free (even if you had to do the transport yourself)?

(The tiny white dots are paint, the machine was in use during a kitchen renovation...)love/Reb
