Guest guest
Ok guys. This has nothing to do with MA's but my doc doesn't believe me so I don't know who to ask. I know I sometimes o twice a month. I have o pain twice a month, have a personal and familial hx of fraternal twinning and my mom reports o'ing twice a month. Usually the o pain is 2-4 days apart. This flies in the face of most hard research ... even studies that allow that both ovaries can release an egg at the same time add the caveat that it usually happens w/in 24-48 hrs and that those women have ONE luteal surge. In fact, when I researched that yahoo article, I realized that the author had taken liberties with the study (http://www.biolreprod.org/cgi/rapidpdf/biolreprod.103.017772v1.pdf) and that this study ALSO holds to the 24-48 hrs rule. So I fly in the face of modern medicine yet again. I always figured I just had a reeeeeeally long lh surge. Now here's my dilemna: my doc said he would provide me with crinone (progesterone) when I become pg if my o dates imply a shorter than normal luteal phase. So I blythely hopped on EBay and bought myself a wad of LH test strips. You guys aren't going to believe the results. A few days ago I had copious, copious amounts EWCM, a positive LH test and distinct O pain. The next day I did an LH test for the heck of it, negative (NO line, not even faint) and my CM quality switched to text-book infertile (just like always). O #1. Well here I am 4 days later and I have *copious* EWCM again. Of course, I stopped using the LH sticks, but I think I'm having a second surge! My doc is unshakable in his belief that this is possible. So maybe my luteal phase is just fine for #1 but not for #2? I'm thinking I'll just LIE to the man if I get pg, but what the heck would happen if I need to go on to IUI or fert meds? Since I don't o twice every single month, how the # & $(*(^$%##$ & am I going to sort this out?!?! Deep breath. For some reason, this is really sticking in my craw. I'm not upset ... I'm just MAD that I can't prove it or easily predict it!! Any tips? At this point if I gave birth to a puppy I wouldn't be surprised! 28, awaiting TTC clearance asymmetrical fused UD
