Guest guest
I don't understand what this is all about with a question so loaded. Could any sane person answer " yes " to that one? > > Enter your vote today! Guest guest
I agree here. I couldn't answer it at all. Once you've done years of dietary intervention you have all sorts of peculiar if/then's to each food in question. There's the enzyme issue and there's SCD to consider.....it's all so complicated. Personally, I found the GFCF to be GREAT except that it wasn't nutrient dense enough and a few other little things. For the frist year I think I gave my son a terrible diet on it, but that was my fault, not that diet. SCD is much harder than GFCF but seems to make more sense to me medically. I did GFCF for years (3) then switched to SCD and now do a v. low carb diet that is gluten free (because I dont' really see the advantage to gluten) but use enzymes to make it possible for my son to have goat's yoghurt and sometimes some raw goat's milk, too! I guess what I'm trying to say is that GFCF is not one diet, it's a dietary guideline and it's up the individuals to formulate a healthy diet from it. Yes, it will take over your life, and SCD is even harder that way. But then have you noticed that autism takes over your life in any case? Guest guest
I think a more informative poll might be How long should you continue the diet, if no improvements are seen? 1 mo, 2 mos, 3 mos, 6 mos, 8 mos, 1 year. or How long was it before any response was seen to gluten?
