Guest guest
For the past year and a half wWe have done all the interventions available - chelation with DMSA/ALA, supplementation, homepathy, excellent ABA, GF/CF - the list goes on. He takes Kidzyme and has perfect stools. While Colin has made nominal gains in language and receptive knowledge, his behaviors recently have gotten much, much worse. He has gone back to head banging after giving that up months ago. Any type of transition is an utter nightmare. It takes four therapists to get him to walk out of school to my car. He is stripping left and right and throwing things at me and down the stairs. He slapped his OT on the head out of anger, which was a first. On the flip side, his social skills are much better. He chases his brother around the house and they jump on the bed, roughhouse and tickle each other. He is doing more spontaneous requesting. Is the bad behavior a sign that he is getting better? This is what I keep hearing. The other kids at his school seem so much more in control. They walk nicely, transition around the building although they may be less reactive to their environment than Colin. Every therapist that works with him tells me his is smart, which I know. It's the behaviors that are killing us. Has anyone experinced this and found a good treatment? Thank you.
