Guest guest
hi. i am wondering for those that have had their children on the diet for a while . . . . maybe someone could help me to know how much stool a 7 or 9 yr old boy would be putting out? and or how often? an approximate day of eating (for one) might include 3 eggs for breakfast and a small nut flour muffin, 3-4 slices of cold cuts and a 1/2 cup of veggie beef soup and 2 chicken pancakes. a baked apple or pear. 3-4 slices of steak, or chicken, or pork, or 6 meatballs, and 1 cup of legally prepared veggies. (we are using pears, spinach, zuchini, carrots, and green beans now.) if eating this food and drinking diluted juice and water, would every 3rd day seem expected for a bowel movement? i am trying to increase the fiber with more veggies and some almond flour. but i am thinking that the reason for this might just be that there is less waste to pass and so it might be normal for the early stages before a lot of fiber is added in? and i would assume that as i add in more fiber this would increase in volume and frequency - right? no i am not using the probiotics or yogurt yet. after i see our next set of data on results i will begin nut yogurt. donna
Guest guest
Donna, Every third day...... I would call that somewhat constipated. He's eating a lot more meat and eggs than veggies..... so yes, there would be less residue. But, I think you really have got to get more vegetables going in. Hide them in the muffins and pancakes if you have to. His diet right now seems out of balance to me. Even at the beginning of SCD, it really isn't the intention for anyone to be eating so much meat and eggs compared to everything else. Patti, mom to Katera, SCD 15 months wondering about stool volume hi. i am wondering for those that have had their children on the diet for a while . . . . maybe someone could help me to know how much stool a 7 or 9 yr old boy would be putting out? and or how often? an approximate day of eating (for one) might include 3 eggs for breakfast and a small nut flour muffin, 3-4 slices of cold cuts and a 1/2 cup of veggie beef soup and 2 chicken pancakes. a baked apple or pear. 3-4 slices of steak, or chicken, or pork, or 6 meatballs, and 1 cup of legally prepared veggies.
