Guest guest Posted September 4, 2006 Report Share Posted September 4, 2006 Hi , I just heard about this on the news. It is tragic as he was such a young man---only 44. He was an icon of Australia. Me and my friend from Brisbane got to see him perform at his Zoo in 2003 [before my surgery] and we actually got to see him up close at his gift shop when he was posing for photos with some VIPS. He was online this morning when he happened upon the first reports of the accident. He's 16 but has always looked up to Steve. If not, I really feel for his family that they must go through this time without any kind of help. I know he had " MONEY " from his fame, but that will only take you so far too.
