Guest guest
Hi a, I haven't been treated with VBeam but tried to find some information about it. VBeam is manufactured by Candela, and is a new type of pulsed-dye laser with a longer pulse than previous pulsed-dyes, plus a cryogenic spray coolant attachment. The VBeam is marketed as a treatment for vascular lesions without the followup purpura (bruising) of previous pulsed-dye lasers. Below is a link containing further information, in case you haven't already seen it. This is a Candela site, so it is somewhat propagandistic. VBeam might be worth looking into. Perhaps you could contact other physicians who use the device and get some feedback on its effectiveness in treating your symptoms. The Candela site mentions treatment of spider veins but makes no direct mention of overall flushing. However there is a before/after photo at the site which shows what appears to be substantial post tx redness reduction. http://www.vbeamlaser.com/ Jim __________________________________________________
Guest guest
a, I am certain that Dr. Nase wrote about this very thing of Photoderm vs. VBeam a few months ago. You might want to check past messages for it. Matija > I plan to treat my rosacea with either the VBeam laser or Photoderm at the end of > the summer.
