Guest guest
DEAR CHRISTINA I HAVE YOYO ALL MY LIFE. BUT I DIDN'T HAVE A WEIGHT P ROBLEM UNTIL I WAS 35 YEARS OLD. I HAD MY SURGERY ON NOV 20 AND NOW I DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ANY MORE ABOUT YOYO. I FEEL FREE TO GET RID OF SOME CLOTHES OR TAKE SOME IN. I AM 60 YEARS OLD AND FEEL WONDERFUL. I DEFINITELY HAVE MORE ENERGY THAN I HAVE HAD IN YEARS. I HAVE LOST 72 LBS. I DO LOOK LESS THAN I WEIGH. I AM LUCKY IN THAT WAY. I ALSO GAINED WEIGHT 10 LBS BEFORE SURGERY. I COULDN'T WALK 10 STEPS. I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK AND IN A FEW MONTHS YOU WILL BE IN MY SHOES. RAYNA
Guest guest
, April 26th will be here before you know it. God, can I relate to the yo-yo on the weight. At the NWH meeting last night they talked about really cracking down on people who gain weight pre-op, thank god that was not the case for me. I gained 16 lbs in the 5 weeks between consultation and surgery (of course I did have Thanksgiving in there and that's good for 10lbs!).... Hang in there and very soon your life will change, Joni - Dr. Thayer 11/27/00 -----Original Message-----From: latta@... I am convinced that I will never be free of this weight yo-yo without the surgery. As I mentioned before, I have a serious hernia and yesterday an organ popped out in a weird shape. I was so freaked out! I popped the organ back in, put on the binder (I hate that damn binder!!) and worried most of the night. I only have about 3 weeks so I hope to make it. I am so looking forward to all the joy and peace so many of you have with the success of the surgery.
