I purchased a Nurture III by for $80. I was told with an established milk supply and working part time this would be adequate. I have not yet returned to work ( next week unfortunately) I pump every morning before feeding my son and get 6 ounces on each side. It can be used as a single or double. Look into it. Guest guest Posted January 3, 2000 Report Share Posted January 3, 2000 OK Ladies, I went and got the pump this afternoon, I have used it once and got about 5oz from the left breast and less than 1oz from my right. Trenton is really being odd again, I have no idea what the problem is but he is now refusing to drink my milk even out of a bottle. My DH thinks perhaps I have eaten something, but for the life of me I can't think what it could be. I am hoping to increase my milk by using this pump during the day at work, and it will be so much easier if it is quicker - then I can pump more often without feeling guilty about taking the time off work. Well Trenton is fast asleep, so I am going to try pump again. If this goes well I would like to look into buying one of these. DOes anyone know where I can get one for a reasonable price? I would suggest that she stick with as close to a hospital grade pump as possible. Lactina is a hospital grade pump. About your question regarding the Lactina carrying case -- in addition to the blue hard plastic case, you can buy from Medela a bag that is more like a zippered tote bag. It is soft sided and has an insulated section for carrying the milk home and other niceties. It is made specificaly for the Lactina and is easier to carry than the hard case.
