I also have mitral valve prolapse and high blood pressure along with fibro (diagnosed 1 month ago). You will make manny friends here. My only problem with this group is that it is addicting and my family complains that I stay on the computer too much LOL! Theresa in Tn/49 wrote: Hello there..... I just joined the group.... I have had pains off and on all of my life, but especially after I had cancer when I was 25. I never gave the word fibromyalgia much thought, as I didn't even know it existed back then. A few years later, my mother was told she had it. Still I didn't understand her pain, days of exhaustion and such. Last year, I was told I had it after many doctor and hospital stays. My life has changed so much in the past 6 years or so...I went from working 2 or 3 jobs at a time, now to not be able to work again. I have fibromyalgia, myofacial syndrome, gerd, ibs, high blood pressure, mitral valve prolapse, skin rashes off and on, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something....as memory fog as we all know is something we deal with on a daily basis almost. I am thrilled to find a group where others understand my life as it is. I hope to become close friends along the way. I am on Tramadol, Zoloft, and Norsac(spelling might be wrong).
