Guest guest
Hello all, We got confirmation today that our son Reuben (age 5) had bilateral hearing loss. The loss in his right ear is mild and the loss in his left ear is mild to moderate. The second hearing test confirmed the first with both of them basically showing the same hearing loss. The second hearing clinic we like better but it is an hour away (as opposed to 5 min) The second clinic also reccomended a basic digital hearing aid which they offered for $1300 less than the clinic here in our town. (The closer clinic did include 48 batteris per hearing aid, 2 year warranty, 2 year loss and damage coverage (once per aid) and 3 years of office visits, the other clinic included 2 year warranty and 1 year loss coverage) Is it worth the extra $1300 to not have to drive an hour each way? I do have a 4 year old and a 1 year old too. The first clinic reccomended a basic non digital hearing aid for Reuben and the second recommended a basic digital. What do you all reccomend? If we are going to have these hearing aids for 2-4 years I want to buy the right ones. One clinic reccomended Canta 2 (digital) and the other didn't specify. Please any help would be GREATLY apreciated. Sonya mama to Reuben
