Guest guest
Hi all I'm a new member to the group too. I just got my diagnosis a back in June, but have just been put on Lyrica for 2 months and they have up'd it from 150mg a day to 300mg a day. After years of telling them I just don't feel good, and hurt all over, and changing primary care drs. I went to ortho for my hip pain and then they sent me to Rheumatology. I still feel like no one understands in my family or friends network and God forbid my job is now threatening me. Diane GA. --- Theresa T wrote: > A warm welcome to you ! Guest guest
Hi Theresa, and thanks for the welcome. as far as work. i am a 21 year plus civillian for the depart. of army. i am a licensed paramedic and had to come of the ambulance 7 years ago after a tramatic fall while at a symposium. tore up rotator cuff, broke my shoulder messed up all the muscles and ligaments in the left scapula . any way i now have been the lead instructor/coordinator for EMT classes and all the CPR in our hspital and advanced skills for army medics deploying. my job has had me on feet 6-7 hrs aday. a yr ago right hip pain so severe i could not walk. my primary doc just laid it off to a inflamatory issue caused by my crohns. as things go out 6 weeks for hip. now all kinds of pain coming from everywhere , even my skin hurt. so i have been out off and on for not only " dating doctors of all species " to tests and days of " i just can't get out of the bed " . so i am like 300 hrs of sick time out. and now you can follow the story.with a big, if your health does not improve and your sick leave usage improve we will have to take " actions to remove you from your job " . now all along they have documentation from me and my doctors. well i have now been out another 2 weeks, trying to adjust to upping the lyrica, starting on lexapro, and trying to adhere to taking my pain meds and muscle relaxers. but u know when u go to work and take narcotics and relaxers that it does'nt mix with work. my husband says try to retire under medical or early. i am just so frustrated. i now get these extremely hot episods with sweating, i have ringing in my ears, dizzy and light headed. of course pain from top of the head to the bottoms of my feet. and so darn tired but can't sleep. even with taking the sleep meds and we have tried (lunesta, ambien, ambien cr, restoril). and then of course my daily events with crohns and migraines. and just last wed i got my MRI results back on my neck and I have extreme adbutment of the cord. I also have to add a little ditty, i work my dads MIA case as the primary next of kin there is the constant struggle to stay on the butts of our system for his fullest accounting. I am pooped both physically mentally --- Theresa T wrote: > Hi Diane.. welcome!
