Guest guest
hi donna. i had that happen on my last SGB. after that, they stopped doing them. it was the third of the series too, just like you! i would call your doctor right away and let them know about the breathing. if i remember correctly, they didn't do anything for me but it's good to make them aware of it in case they have something to recommend to you. i hope you are able to sleep well tonight. love, amy

Guest guest
Please call the doc. It doesn't sound like that is suppose to happen. Please be careful. Its very sensative to the touch and Im extremely sleepy from the sedative (yup they had to add to that as well since he took so long).I dunno..I dont want to call this late in the day (its 7pm) cuz afterall I dont really feel bad, just different. I thought I'd ask here first to see if anyone had similiar experiences..they will be calling in the morning so I will ask then.Night allHugsDonna
Guest guest
donna. i'm glad it's gotten better for you but please don't forget to tell them about your reaction. it may be real important. i told you before that the best results i ever had from the SGBs was when i had a series, so better things may be in store for you...that is, if they continue to them AFTER you tell them about your breathing. please don't forget. rest well and feel better love, amy
Guest guest
Donna, Sorry to hear that things are different. I know that you must be worried about this...that can't be good for you either. I had a similar experience with my last block which meant to my doc that the injections weren't going to work for me anymore. My doc puts his patients out for the block, so I can't say much for the sensitivity to the area where he did the injections as novocaine is not used on me. I guess I am referring more to the pain level being down some but the burning still being a major factor after the blocks. This probably doesn't sound very good but...I hope that he missed the right spot on you. It would be much better if this time he missed so you aren't getting the relief rather than he got the right spot and they won't work for you anymore. I will be hoping to hear back from you once you have talked to the doctor. Will continue to think good thoughts and send a couple extra prayers your way. Guest guest
> > Please call the doc. It doesn't sound like that is suppose to happen. Please be careful. The breathing issues subsided before I went to bed last night but I woke up very sore this morning and didnt sleep well at all last night. My neck hurts, but that could be from him having problems getting the right place I think but in any case I dont think it did its job this time which disappoints me cuz I waited so long for some relief I had hoped to get. Oh well, no worse either so I cant complain too much. Will take it easy and report it to the office when they call this morning to check on me. Thank you though Deb Hugs Donna

Thanks Amy, they will be calling this morning to check on me and I will tell them then. It doesnt seem to be much different today then any other day which is different, I usually get at least a days relief. The burning is still there and the deep muscle ache as well. I dunno, maybe Im expecting too much this time around who knows. But its not agonizing and I can deal with it. that is, if > they continue to them AFTER you tell them about your breathing. Im worried that they may not continue them after yesterday, hes real cautious. rest well and feel better Thank you, I slept last night in naps..not a good nights rest at all, but Im up with the sun and drinking some OJ and watching the cats tackle one another, so its not a bad morning so far. Hope everyone else had a peaceful night! Hugs Donna

Teri I would be a fool to say it wasnt bothering me that it was different, but I guess if Im notmeant to have any more to combat the pain than perhaps I need to seek an alternative route and only the Dr right now knows what that might be. I had a similar experience > with my last block which meant to my doc that the injections weren't going > to work for me anymore. I've only had 2 others, could they be failing me this quickly? Its been 7 wks since I had my last one. It would be much better if this time he missed so you aren't > getting the relief rather than he got the right spot and they won't work for > you anymore. I agree, hopefully he just went off the mark, in which case we try again next week > > I will be hoping to hear back from you once you have talked to the doctor.
