Guest guest
Hi Ruthie, I took your advice on the Prosacea and bought some, I hope it works!! If it stops the itchiness that's awesome. And I have some Crocs and have just started wearing them, and they do help with the stabbing burning rock sensations in the heels of the feet. K. -- answering several posts Hi to from Las Vegas. Yes, we sound like twins! Fibro sisters! Anybody else with a broken back can join too. ;-) Face rash - I have cea. Not sure if it is related to FM and the doctor doesn't know. Go to a dermatologist if you can and find out for sure what you have. I did. Fortunately the rash isn't flaring right now. Metrogel cream helps (RX) but so does an over the counter cream called Prosacea and it is a lot cheaper. I got it at Shop Rite but CVS has it too. Had to laugh about the Girls Gone Wild and their tattoos. I have two tattoos and if they sag I am in trouble. I had my eyebrows tattooed on about a year ago because I lost almost all of the eyebrow hair (menopause present) So those babies better stay up there where they belong! Or / \ Hee hee! Exercise - All I can do is stretches. I tried CURVES for a week and even though that is gentle hydrolic machine exercise, I flared like crazy for several weeks afterward. Not for me. I do find that I feel better if I am moving around because lying in bed makes me feel like crap. I get all stiff and in miserable pain and when I get up and start moving around the stiffness leaves. My new mattress helps a lot too. At least in the Summer, when it is nice and hot outside, I can work a little in my garden. The sun feels good and planting something helps my mood. Foods to avoid? Chocolate? Kill me now! LOL! I know I can't have alcohol with Lyrica if I want to remain standing so I am switching to non alcoholic beer and also club soda with fruit juices. No carbonated beverages? Moan! This reeks! Personal thermostat - Good heavens! Hot one minute and freezing the next. Thats me for sure. I thought that was just menopause. What did I know? That I can deal with, but the whole body burning pain I can do without. Painful feet - feels like you are walking barefoot on sharp stones. Hard to find a shoe that doesn't hurt when that is flaring up. Just got a pair of Crocs and those are comfortable when the feet are acting up. Socks or no socks, they feel pretty good. To bed, perchance to sleep. Ruthie 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone.
