Guest guest
Next time my husband pesters me maybe I will tell him to go eat some flowers if I am not in the mood. LOL He always waits until I have my 4 layers of clothing on for sleeping before he says anything. LOL. By then I am dressed for bed and just want to be left alone! Guest guest
OK, I have another question which may be considered rather indelicate ... sorry about that. But with the topic of sex and attention from men, etc ... there are men who like normal woman, and even men who like big women ... but I don't really know of men who like Shar Pei's, which is what I'm gonna look like. I knew a woman who had this surgery many years ago, and laying on her bed in her underwear she looked like a melting candle ... I have a hard time believing men would find that attractive ... or that I would accept it well with myself. My insurance will not pay for any plastic OR reconstructive surgery, so this is a major concern to me. I have a casual boyfriend now and an active sex life ... and though this guy isn't for life, I like sex. In spite of my size, I have a good deal of acceptance for myself, my body, and my sexuality, especially since I've had some lovely men in my life who like big women and pretty much gave me that assurance over many years. One of my fears is in losing that ... in seeing pictures of what I'll look like afterward, especially since I have so much to loose. Do I just accept I can flirt but keep my clothes on? That sex will become a thing of the past? That some men LIKE Shar-pei's or melting candles? This is a huge issue for me. Any input? Guest guest
India- first of all loose skin is different for everyone. Yours may not be as bad as you imagine. I am married and my husband loves me and finds me attractive no matter what, but if I were still single I would be worried too. I think that you will be fine. I love to flirt and go dancing with girlfriends- hubby is a bit of a homebody and is all good with it- so I know my loose skin will be hidden under my clothes at the club. I am also sure my insurance will pay for nothing, as they did not even pay for wls. SO I am investigatng crdit cards made explicitly for plastic surgery and saving my pennies. I know my " girls " will need to be lifted and I'm guessing a tummy tuck. I am surprised though that my stomach is not hanging as bad as I imagined and I have lost 36 pounds so far. I know my weight training and cardio have helped.

Guest guest
The beauty is, according to my physician, is that there is no hard and fast rule for who will have loose skin and who won't, however, excercising as you go along is always a good idea and can limit the degree of excess skin you end up with. Some people will have more than others, some will have none, just remember, the more excercise you get ahead of time, the better you look later, even if you require skin removal surgery. I rather look like a bit " shar pei-ish " than morbidly obese and unwell. Best to all, Debi --- DanaColan@... wrote: > > It won't be so funny once one looks like a Shar > Pei... Guest guest
And a nice vacation to boot hahaha Tate wrote: There ARE many financing options available for plastic surgery. Some is expensive. Major boob reconstruction maybe $8-12 thousand. But tummy tuck can be had many places for $3. Also, many are traveling to Europe and Brazil. Fine surgeons in Brazil and about 1/3 the price. It more than pays for the plane fare to go. rcb1230 wrote: India- first of all loose skin is different for everyone. Guest guest
hahaha Tate! You rock in my book. Your boldness, yet sensitive way of saying things makes me smile and think THATS RIGHT!! You crack me up and you remind me of my father as well... sorry had to say it... hahaha.. he is only 65. Anyways, it is hard to have the mind set, " well if they don't accept it oh well then they are not worth it " although you are correct on that. It is again something we have to accept in ourselves and love in ourselves first, otherwise, how can we expect others to do the same. Tate wrote: A lot depends, your age, genetics, exercise. If you are old, then Medicare Part A will pay for panniculectomy, although you'll still have to roll those boobs up like tube socks and stuff them in your bra. If you are younger, there is a better chance the skin will be elastic and you won't look like that. Personally I like 6' tall 20 year old red heads with perfect bodies who purr whenever I am around. But at 62 years of age, that is so far from not happening that I can't even engage the fantasy. I think you need to concentrate less on what you present externally and focus on your real draw, what you present as a person. Any guy who is so shallow that he would have nothing to do with you because of a few skin folds probably isn't worth having anything to do with in the first place. It seems IMHO that trading in a few acts of intercourse for many years of superior health is a no brainer. Caroline runs a Yahoo Group for plastic surgery. She has some private pictures posted of what she looked like after losing 256# and before surgery. Your description of melting candle is very accurate. FWIW, the vagina doesn't really change in shape. You MAY have to resort to some sexy lingerie and dimmer lights, but once you have boyfriend where you want him, he won't be complaining. :-) indiaink99@... wrote: OK, I have another question which may be considered rather indelicate ... sorry about that. Guest guest
I have been trying on my old sexy nighties for me. I don't have a man to model for at the moment, but one of the things I looked forward to the most with this surgery was feeling sexy again. When I put one of those nighties on, I do and it's not for them but me. Of course, i can't wait to have a man to model for either. hahaha.
