Guest guest
We live with my mother-in-law and since it is summer we aren't using any heat. We don't have a/c. My husband likes to have the fan on, and I used to, too, but now it makes my nose cold! Dana In a message dated 8/23/2006 4:46:05 PM Pacific Standard Time, abernathyr@... writes: LOL! I can relate. I used to sleep in very little, had a fan running, and would still be hot. Now, I sleep in long sleeve and pant pajamas and no fan is allowed now. My husband is okay with that though because I always made him cold before the surgery. Have you adjusted your thermostat?

Guest guest
I used to be burning hot all the time.In fact I remember one Halloween night here that was 30 degrees & I was walking around in a short sleeve t shirt still hot!!!Now my feet are always cold & I have just started to wear sweatshirts for the 1st time in years. On vacation at the beach,I was soo cold one night on the boardwalk,I had to go buy a sweatshirt. So according to me,you are normal,LOL Kim F RNY 6/23/06 298/240/135 > > I have heard that a lot of people are cold all the time after surgery, > because our bodies kind of give up trying to regulate heat while we are eating so > little. Guest guest
Hi Dana, I'm new to this group but I thought I would jump in since this was one of this issues I had postop too. There were nights I was sooo cold. I couldn't seem to get warm no matter how many layers of clothing I wore. At the time I usually would use an electric blanket and drink some hot tea but usually it only helped a little. The good news is eventually as my body adjusted to all of the changes and my weight stabilized, I stopped being supercold all the time. As with many things after surgery, it might just pass on with a little time.
