Guest guest
-------Original Message------- I walked into the hospital October 27th 1999 (I will NEVER forget that date!) and have not walked since. Love Jai ==================================== Jai, I won't forget that date either..... My husband turned 29 that day......and was changing our 2nd newborn daughter's diapers. Crystal was born Oct. 14, 99. Needless to say, I wasn't walking at that time either!!! It was my first C-Section. Has anyone ever had a cast put on due to the RSD? I'm just curious. Well, anyway, take care and have a good weekend...I'll talk to you soon. Hi Lori, I am so glad that you got proper medical attention for your foot. Just think if you let it go it may have been permanently damaged. I have had many casts, braces, etc., for my leg over the past four years. Due to the initial injury and then the RSD with all of the complications I unfortunately had many different surgeries to try and correct it. I had contractures of the ankle so bad that my ankle was frozen. It took a few surgeries (called z-plasty) to lengthen the tendons so my ankle would move. I have had skin grafts, surgery on the nerves, bone, tendons, you name it! I know they say casts and RSD don't go but sometimes it's necessary. Right now I am in a removable brace, much nicer than a cast! Especially in the heat! Love Jai
