Apparently a lot of chicken manure contains arsenic (a by-product of the chicken feed). Put the two together and I think I should cut mushrooms out of my son's diet. He loves mushrooms and has also hair-tested with moderate-to-high arsenic. I don't recall seeing mention of this issue before... Comments? Thanks! The California Public Interest Research Group published a report in 2001 claiming that 29 out of 29 randomly tested brands of fertilizer contained hazardous levels of toxins including mercury, cadmium, arsenic and lead.
