Guest guest
Hi Ava, I have only been visiting this site for the past several weeks, it has proven to be very helpful & these women have lots of good info. I am sorry about your m/c's. For the past 8 years I was told that my uterus was bicornuate also. Before ttc I went to see my OBGYN & asked if we needed to do anything about this before I got pregnant, she said no. I was 10 weeks pg. on 3/6/03, had just been in to see my OB, she said things look great the baby had implanted on the left side of my uterus, we saw a heartbeat, thought everything was great. Well the next morning on my way to work a lady rear ended me @ 45 mph while I was sitting @ a stoplight!!! I had immediate pain in my neck & back but was more concerned about my baby, so we went to the ER. Baby's hb was 30 beats faster than day before, they think b/c I was so nervous, sent me to my OB on that Thursday, went back on Monday to make sure things were still OK. There was no h/b, I asked if it was related to my uterus, my OB said no lot's of people have this & deliver just fine, asked if was related to accident (I had whiplash, a rib out of place & my pelvic bone was knocked out of alignment). She said there was no way of knowing. Needless to say I changed OB's & was immed. referred to an Repr. Endo. who did a MRI & said I have a septate uterus. My RE says a SU is not a healthy environment for a baby due to lack of bloodflow & does cause early m/c's. I had sx on 6/11/03 to remove septum, which was uneventful & hopefully a success. I read lots about this & decided I didn't want to go through another heartbreak & decided to have sx. I think it's just 2 hard to know what causes m/c's, you just have to find out as much as you can & make the decision that is best for you. Hope this is helpful. Guest guest
Hi Ava, I have had 3 early losses (all around 8 weeks) which my RE is saying is not related to my BU. But all blood work and genetics have come back normal, so I am having a hard time believing this. My BU was diagnosed by MRI a few weeks ago, I am meeting with the RE on Tuesday to review the films and possibly get a second opinion. So I really can't offer too much advice with your situation, but I just wanted to tell you I can relate... Hopefully someone else on the board can give you some good advice. Take care, Ronna > >Reply-To: MullerianAnomalies >To: MullerianAnomalies >Subject: New to board >Date: Thu, 19 Jun 2003 13:30:26 -0000 > >I have been following this board for a while but have never actually >posted.
