She said that once vaccinated w/ it, my kids could get the chicken pox up to four different times. If they were to contract it naturally, they would have it once, and have immunity. So, I decided not to get it. Maybe your daughter has gotten it again? HTH e
Guest guest
where is it on her body, I get those on my arm when I have gluten and suspect celiac disease. I also get it with milk product to though, could be an allergy reaction, my son gets them on his face when his yeast and bacteria are high,. so where it is makes a big difference [ ] OT/ Please help! My NT daughter(9yrs old) is having some kind of strange skin eruption. THis is the 3rd time (once in March, and April of this year) this has happened to her. The skin gets tingly and then a tiny red raised dot appears that itches like mad and then a welt pops with a TINY clear head on it that gets scratched off. I have never seen chicken pox but it seems to me that it presents itself similarly. UNFORTUNATELY she had the varicella vaxcine and when she originally came down with this in the spring her pediatrition claimed it was " modified chicken pox " that children can get that have had the vaccine. If that is the case why is she getting it again? We were thinking maybe flea bites but no-one else in the house has any and I cant find a flea or insect anywhere. We dont have a pet that goes outside. They dont really look like flea bites to me either. Has anyone heard of anything like this? One more thing to throw into the mix of possibilities is that she has had lyme disease 2 times and is it possible that it is lyme? OR> is it yeast? I KNOW she has bad yeast but never heard anyone describe a rash like this for yeast. I am at my wits end and dont know where to turn. She is miserable itchy and just feels aweful. Guest guest
Hi Patti, Does she feel like she is being poked by a pointy probe where she has the skin eruption? If she does, then it might be shingles which is an eruption of acute, inflammatory, herpetic vesicles on the trunk of the body along a periperal nerve and other places (according to my medical dictionary.) Adults get this after you have had the chicken pox since it comes from herpes zoster. I was told when I had it that acyclovir in the first weeks could help reduce the pain and itching, but since I didn't have it looked at until around the third week, it was already starting to get better and they didn't recommend acyclovir at that time. Hope this helps and take care, Becky in Chesapeake, VA > My NT daughter(9yrs old) is having some kind of strange skin eruption. > THis is the 3rd time (once in March, and April of this year) this has > happened to her. Guest guest
Becky, she says that it tingles first, than pricks and then ITCHES LIKE MAD! " and is feeling miserable like she has a virus. She has them on her left shoulder blade, hip area, both legs and one on the bottom of her foot that is the worst. They are very very deep angry red. I have never seen shingles so I dont know if it is this or not. I do know that the last time she had it it was a full 2 weeks before it finally went away. I am trying to search for info on possibilities of shingles in vaccinated children. Thanks for any more help. Patti
Guest guest
Get her in front of a doctor ASAP. Shingles appear in characteristic patterns and the doc will immediately recognize that. If it is shingles there are some treatments that are enormously helpful (but of course alternative). Vitamin C and B-12 in as large of quantities as you can get in her, which means if some doctor will put them in through a needle they work great. Guest guest
Could this be dermatitis herpatiformis (DH)??? Apparently, DH often goes along with celiac disease?? Sorry to be vague---I'm just now reading a bunch of info about celiac as I prepare to implement SCDiet, and thought this might give you a place to start looking for answers. Good luck!
