Guest guest
Where does one find almond flour? I have looked around and can't find it. Is it with the white/wheat flour? Guest guest
Ann, I posted it last week I think- but here it is again. Use SBD equiv if you want- CLassic Almond Flour    Pound Cake Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) softened at room temperature 1/2 cup full fat cream cheese 1 cup Splenda 5 large eggs, at room temperature 2 cups almond flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon orange extract 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Cream butter, cream cheese and Splenda together, mixing well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. In a separate bowl, mix almond flour with baking powder. Add egg/butter mixture to flour a little at a time while beating. Add lemon and vanilla extracts. Pour into greased 9 " -10 " Springform pan, bundt pan, ring pan, (or 9 " round cake pan) and bake at 350°F for 50-55 minutes. You can change flavors for this cake by using different extract flavors and even food color if you like! Makes 12 servings. 6.1 net grams of carbohydrate per serving. > > > > I get mine online. just do a search and/or check out some low > carb > > cooking sites. Guest guest
That's an interesting recipe -- I was just finally taking a few minutes to look at it. Cream cheese and orange extract are not terribly common ingredients in baked goods. How much sugar does the 1 cup of splenda equal out to be? I might give this recipe a spin with another sweetener. Guest guest
1 C. splenda = 1 C. sugar > That's an interesting recipe -- I was just finally taking a few minutes to > look at it. It was so good! As I've said on the lists, I won't even use the synthetic sweeteners -- don't want the headaches or any of the other side effects. That's why I'm experimenting with stevia and, here soon, agave nectar. I intend to get some WheyLow next, give it a spin around the block.
