Guest guest
I can not say enough good things about Baby Bumblebee . We now own the entire collection- I just bought the math and numeracy videos. He learned nouns, verbs, opposites, letters, numbers from these videos. Of course, he is also doing therapy but these videos have really helped with generalizing and strengthening the concepts. He actually knows a lot of them by heart. They also show children playing appropriately with toys, which my son can't do, so I'm hoping to get this out of them as well- though this skill seems to lack WAY behind. I wish Bumblebee made videos that encourage stringing 2 or more words together because my son still mostly uses single words to communicate. For us they have been worth every penny. I would give a B- to " First Impressions " - another popular early vocabulary building series. ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 4 Date: Fri, 24 Oct 2003 05:34:22 -0000 From: " erin robles " <eevalovich@...> Subject: Baby Bumblebee? Guest guest
Yes, but use age appropriately, my son found these very boring. As you probably know, kids who have trouble communicating are more intelligent than we give them credit for. The failure of Baby Bumblebee is that, in my opinion, it will not be their favorite, and therefore not very reinforcing. If you pick something that is their absolute favorite thing to motivate them, you will have better luck. In other words, Baby Bumblebee will be the " work " not the " play " . > > has anyone used the baby bumblebee dvds? > > any comments? > > sharon >
