Guest guest
Hi Val-Welcome aboard! Just wanted to share my story...I'm a fellow UU (also a leftie) and was diagnosed about a year ago. I'd had a m/c the year before and had been ttc without any luck. My doc wanted to do an hsg before starting me on clomid...we were all shocked when the dye showed a UU. I was devastated and began searching the internet (which made me feel even worse...I'm so glad that I found this site!) I haven't had the IVP, but did have an MRI that showed 2 kidneys. Fortunately, I did get pregnant again after a few months on clomid. My pregnancy was difficult and I spent quite a bit of time on bedrest b/c of PTL, but it was all worth it in the end. This past August, my DS arrived only a month before schedule and is as healthy as can be. Last year at this time, I never imagined that I'd be changing diapers in a year! I know that there is a lot of discouraging info out there, but the majority of the stories here are very positive. Many of the UUs here have had full term babies without any problems at all. The ladies here really supported me during some scary times and their success stories helped to give me hope. My best advice for now is to take a deep breath, hang in there, and ask questions when you have them. I tried (not always easy!) to take things one step at a time, otherwise it is very easy to get overwhelmed. Remember...there are lots of healthy little UU kid-os out there! There are pics of them under " Our Kids " on this site if you ever need a pick me up. Keep us posted, okay? All the best, UU,
