celia,

try giving your son monolaurin(www.lauricidin.com) with bromelain and

see if it helps to get rid of the measles virus......also lots of

vitamin A

R

,

I thought that monolaurin was not supposed to be taken at the same

time as digestive enzymes. We are using Peptizyde (Houston enzymes)

with each meal. I have been looking at lauricidin because my youngest

son regressed immediately after receiving MMR at 15 months and has

gut issues. We are also chelating with DMSA/LA per Andy's protocol.

How good (or bad) does lauricidin taste? Could it be taken mixed in a

spoonful of applesauce? Thanks,

Sue

Sue -

The Lauricidin pellets are white and very small, and they do not have a

flavor or smell that I've detected at all. You are not supposed to chew

them, just swallow them. I've been giving them to my DS, 3.6yo, in a

spoonful of applesauce with no problem and he swallows them right down.

I've also used sugar-free jello and yogurt and those work well to.

Hi Sue,

Monolaurin is being with great success with bromelain because the bromelain

opens the cell wall and the monolaurin kills the virus inside of it.I give

my son (8 yrs,93 lbs)2 scoops a day and he has made alot of progress on

it.It comes in a little pellet that tastes like soap if you chew it,you have

to dump in the mouth and just swallow the pellets whole.Dr. Kabara can tell

you more if you call him.

Hi ,

My little guy (age 5) doesn't know how to swallow pills yet. Since

bromelain is basically from pineapple, I would think that you could

just open the bromelain capsule and mix it with the applesauce and

monolaurin to give it. How many milligrams of bromelain are you

giving your son. My ds weighs 45 pounds.

Hi Sam,

I give my child a 250mg capsule w/1 scoop of monolaurin. My husband said he

took one of these capsules and had heartburn like nobody's business!!!!My

son said he does not get this at all.Anybody care to pitch in who knows

why?Does my kid sound like he doesn't produce enough acid ?Would that be

related to needing or benefitting from secretin?

That is interesting. Sorry, I can't answer your question but this

morning for the first time I decided to open the capsule and sprinkle

some on the applesauce and monolaurin instead of just giving the

entire capsule which I usually do. After doing this and giving the

rest of the supplements and then breakfast, my daughter threw up.

She has sometimes had throwing up in the morning off and on for years

but not too recently now that I think about it.

From what I have read, it takes stomach acid to stimulate the

release of secretin. Maybe your child does not need secretin,

but more stomach acid (betaine HCl).

Isn't Betaine HCL TMG? Vicky

Yes , the monolaurin I use is also a soapy pellet. What I was

refering to was the opening of the capsule of bromolain and

sprinkling it over the applesause and pellet mix.

I'm not sure about the chemistry of it (Andy??).

I thought TMG was different than betaine HCl

(the HCl is added to the TMG). I could be totally

wrong.

Hello. Are you guys referring to Lauricidin (Monolaurin). They are

the small waxy pellets. I am having to increase sooo slowly for my

son, like 1 pellet every 4 days. He is now up to 7 pellets a day. At

first, I jumped right in with 5 pellets and he came down with a runny

nose, coughing , just like he caught a cold. I stopped the pellets

and he cleared right up. Then I started at 1 pellet for several days.

I guess it's potent stuff. Tina B

Yes, that is what we use. My teenager has been taking two full

scoups a day for over a year. Recently I learned she still had

evidence of high levels of virus still. I communicated with Dr.

Kabara who suggested I do not increase the dose but instead add

bromolain with it.

He didn't suggest any specific amount. I have been giving a whole

capsule but also wondered if this may be too much and that is the

reason I decided to open the cap and just sprinkle a little over the

applesauce and lauricidin. But I mentioned in my earlier post my

daughter threw up after I did this (but I cant be sure that is why).

Today I went back to just giving the whole capsule and the lauricidin

mixed in fruit and she had no stomach problems.
