Guest guest
How interesting! My son had the same problem of not being able to listen and see at the same time. He too had developed many strategies. When I would read to him, for example, he would pick up a toy or some other object to stare at and then grab the book from me afterward to go through on his own page by page. I saw a 60 Mins. piece on autism, and they interviewed a teen with autism and asked him why he didn't look anyone in the eye. His response was that he couldn't hear and see and the same time. That's when it clicked with me that this was my son's problem. We did AIT followed by Tomatis in July. 8 days into tomatis he could read and see at the same time and was so excited he had me reading every one of his books to him for 2 hours a day for almost a week. There were many other sensory and language benefits for him that were huge. He had a sudden regression after eating a piece of pineapple that he reacted to like a hallucinogenic the week before Christmas and lost alot of the benefit and is having a very hard time right now. Am hoping we can gain it back. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Surf the web up to FIVE TIMES FASTER!
