Guest guest
The prednisone will decrease inflammation and give you a boost in energy - made me stay up all night. [ ] Forgot to add to my post re: Adrenal ?s....Andy? Just before Christmas I had a horrible hayfever/allergy attack - I had to stay in a hotel away from my family for a night until I could get to the hospital. The doc put me on 5 different antihistamines and prednisone (40 mg/day) for the inflammation and swelling (facial, sinuses, throat). This was just to get me through the week. My husband commented several times that I seemed have more energy and feel better than normal. Meds normally don't agree with me. Not only did I feel better, a rash around my mouth went away. It is now coming back. I normally have bad insomnia and have been taking Benadryl 2X night to sleep, so it can't be just the antihistamines. Thought this might be a clue, also. =======================================================
Guest guest
Yes, this happened to me with prednisone - I had wild amounts of energy; got up at 5:00 a.m. every morning to work in the garden, then household chores, then wash the car, then paint the house, etc. etc. It's one of the " good " side effects of prednisone. Unfortunately, there are many other very bad ones, so the doctors usually get you off the prednisone as quickly as possible, > > > The prednisone will decrease inflammation and give you a boost in energy - > made me stay up all night. > > > ----- Original Message ----- > Fro
