Guest guest
check this out. they even reference aa deprograming.com, it must be having an effect if they feel they must acknowldge it. in the cult section they write: " It is in fact the drinking alcoholic or the defiant newly " dry " alcoholic who is much more apt to resemble in thinking and behavior everyone else in the same category as himself. Genuine, as opposed to merely superficial, theatrical or pretend individuality actually only begins with recovery from alcoholism. For there is much more to being an individual than merely claiming to be one. " is it me, or does this infer that only that those in recovery are more genuine and real then those not? http://www.bma-wellness.com/First_AA_Meeting.htm#Brainwash ing,%20Mind%20Control%20and%20Cultism

You have found the web page of Dr. Garret, AA's unofficial psychiatrist, supposed graduate of the Talbot program, and poster boy for the Stockholm syndrome. No Dave it isn't just you, Floyd will make all sorts of determinations about a person based solely upon whether they are a member of AA or not. Just ask Ken, Rita, Pete, Stanton, me, etc, etc. If you really want to get to know " the enemy " , check this guy out. He is one sick, sad, son of a bitch. Guest guest
Thank those who have made the Web possible. And thank those who have offered the addicted the choices that are now available to those who are seeking answers to their problems. I read a little of that First Meeting site and can only say that if I had the opportunity to choose from whence I would go for help, that convoluted drawn out dissertation on AA would have shut me down completely to AA. If one has the brains to get into the Web for information and searches around a bit, this insanity of AA may turn off more people than imaginable. Who wants all that crap? When one wants to quit, they want to quit... The other sites and what they have to offer leave a person with a sense of power and dignity when AA can only leave them with a sense of degredation. Other than the court mandated, who have no choice i attending, who would want all this malarky when there are so many other ways to quit.. Sooner or later, the whole sorry " recovery " BS is going to end. Once the public is informed, and they will be, and once the insurance cmpanies are tired of the expense of revolving door, disease thinking AA bullcrap, there will be a screaching halt to this madness. The dollars will out, in the end....and thanks to Trimpey, Regge, Buffe, and all the others who have so diligently and determinedly pursued these nuts who think they can rule the addiction problem thru the 12 Steps. Sometimes it seems overwhelming that AA has such control. But remember, it was through PR that they became so popular and now that there is the internet, their insanity is up against sheer reason that is expressed all over the world daily, to millions. Keep up the site...information, information, information. There are a lot of addicted out there, bu addiction does not mean stupdity and no-one in this day and age wnts to spend a lifetime battling something that can be killed immediately, or at least in a brief amount of time. I would love to hear from those on this site who have directed an addicted to a place where they could find release outside of XA. I hate AA,as you know. Been there, done that. Been there, done that. Hmmmm? Hadn't thought of it like that. Perhaps we owe Garret an award or something for doing more for the anti-AA cause than the pro-AA cause. I like that -- it would really piss him off.
Guest guest
Dave and folks, This site has been created by grouper shrink Floyd Garrett, the most repellantly narcisstic overblown ass pompous ass I have ever had the misfortune to come across. And it takes one to know one!
