I am not going to say that my pain has gone after having CP for hmm, 21 years

but it is different. At 18, my attacks were so severe I could not stand up.

I could not eat. I vomited for 2 days and pain lasted about 4. It was

horrible! There was no rhyme or reason as to when I would get it. Every 3

months, 6 months, 2 months, 1 year.

At 39, I have almost a constant pain, like a stitch in my side daily. Some

days, something happens and I have to take 2 oxycontin because the pain is so

bad. I think this might be a spasm of the pancreas. Some days, very few, I

have no pain. I am constantly tired - not like when I has CP at 18. Then I

would bounce back. Not true now. Some times I can feel a pain when I turn

the wrong way - I do have 2 cysts on my pancreas. And I am always nauseated

and have problems with my digestive tract.

However - I am somehow able to work. I am absent a lot, but so far, so

good.....The pain now is just different. And I have pain meds. to help me

make life semi-normal. I hope that your disease might change as mine has and

give you back part of the life you want.

Blessings to you,

Staci
