Guest guest
This is true, Eunice. It should be two or more times fasting above 126 mg/dl. He probably has impaired glucose tolerance so it is good that he eats like you do. April in GA Re: Re: High fasting bg's/diagnosed In a message dated 9/16/2005 11:50:31 A.M. The first one was found when she went in for a complete yearly physical. She went back and the number was lower, then the 3rd test was normal. She goes every year for a physical have blood work done, labs. She still does not have diabetes. My husband had a physical done several years ago. His blood work showed a bg of 157 or something near this number. His doctor told him to come back the next morning fasting. His fasting was 69. Again, that was several years ago, he gets a physical including blood work, labs every year. He does not have diabetes. A one time high fasting or a one time high bg's after a meal does not indicate diabetes. hugs Eunice

Guest guest
How right you are Eunice, normally my husband tests around 95 but in the test run at the VA he tested 127, they tested again and I don't know what it was but he is not a diabetic. Different things factor into the tests sometimes. Tres Re: High fasting bg's/diagnosed In a message dated 9/16/2005 11:16:24 A.M.
