Guest guest
I take it that DH is not immune? If so, this could be difficult to avoid. It is highly contagious. a -- " veritable00 " <veritable00@...> wrote: Hello, A couple of people in DH workplace have come down with chickenpox, what prevention steps can we take diet, supplement and hygiene wise so that he and our family does not catch the virus. Guest guest
, I have been told that the more the person comes in contact with the virus, the worse the outbreak can be. For example, my then 4 yr old got the pox mildly. My 9 mo old was with her the entire time and had a severe case. The less he is around them, the less severe the case could be. I would also consider several caps of olive leaf extract each day, it's anti-viral. Guest guest
I'm new to this list, but I use quite a few natural remedies with my family and we never have to visit the doctor because no one gets sick enough - measles, scarlet fever, bronchitis and colds. You might not be able to stop someone from getting chickenpox if they've been exposed, but you can make sure they only get a mild case. I got it when I was in my mid 20's and only had a 20 - 30 spots and didn't feel sick - still I stayed home to spare the rest of my office. No one else got it and I'm not sure where I got it. I'd take some sambucol (US) or other elderberry / echinacea preparation that gets your immune system into action. Then eat lots of fruit and veg to make sure you have sufficient vitamins. And make sure you don't get run down - get plenty of sleep etc... Avoid sugar and other processed foods, chemicals or anything that will make your body lose focus on fighting off the virus.
