A friend of mine's children just broke a mercury thermometer. The mercury

is all over the computer and desk and down into her carpet. Is there any safe

way of getting it up out of the carpet?? Also, any ideas on what kind of

danger her children are in? She is pretty sure they played with it. Any advice

is greatly appreciated.
