Welcome Marsha!

I'm glad you found us. Wow, what a story! Two 25 weekers who are

healthy--that's wonderful news. I guess I'm a little confused as to

your diagnosis. A true UD wouldn't have a non-communicating horn,

but rather, two independent uteri that each have their own cervix and

are (generally! :) the same-ish size, about half the size of a normal

uterus. Are you UU with a non-communicating rudimentary second

uterus that had to be removed?

Hope you find this group supportive and useful,

Jill

Marsha-

Hi and welcome! I am glad you found us...I think you will find this group

an amazing source of information and support. Congratulations on your

little miracles! It is great to hear about such early preemies that are

thriving.

I hate to hit you with questions, but like Jill I am confused by the

'non-communicating' uterus that was removed. Didelphys is most often

described as two complete, separate uteri, each leading to a separate

cervix and often having a partial longitudinal vaginal septum. Most often

there isn't a surgical intervention for didelphys. Do you know if you have

1 or 2 cervices? If you have 1 cervix, it could be a case of unicornate

with a rudimentary (small, unusable) horn.

Again, welcome! We are glad to have you here!

D

29, 1 m/c, fused UD?
