Guest guest
There was an article in the VRP newsletter about using this for Alzheimers. A search found this used in a trial for kids with ADD and executive functioning deficits with some promising results: Click here: Psychiatric News -- Lehmann 38 (22): 25 Galantamine is also known as reminyl and is OTC--and pricey--about $1.00 per pill. Has anyone tried this? What results or side effects? Thanks, mary
Guest guest
These are more for confusion and memory problems than for attention. > There was an article in the VRP newsletter about using this for Alzheimers. > A search found this used in a trial for kids with ADD and executive > functioning deficits with some promising results: > > Click here: Psychiatric News -- Lehmann 38 (22): 25 > > Galantamine is also known as reminyl and is OTC--and pricey--about $1.00 per > pill. > > Has anyone tried this? Guest guest
I thought it sounded interesting--my son definitely has memory and executive functioning issues. Here's the cite: ADHD Symptoms Respond To Cholinergic Drugs Lehmann " Pilot studies of cholinergic agents suggest that they may be effective intreating children diagnosed with ADHD and deficits in executive function.Galantamine was the most promising one " For full story see: . http://pn.psychiatryonline.org/cgi/content/full/38/22/
Guest guest
What if the child's main problem is confusion and memory? Is it then safe? What supplements may help correct this?
